love your life

There's so much I can't wait to share on this page!  From the fairy tale of how I found my soulmate, to family stories, special moments, people and events that have impacted my life.   It's time to  reminisce, so grab your beverage of choice and sit-a-spell..."Let's talk about it..."

Doin' it right, family style!

Proud of this Thomas Clan, taking advantage of a tough situation.

Today's  generation, and the stigma that society pushes at us these days fills our hands, and our lives full of  cell phones, tablets, headphones galore to block out any human in close proximity and video games that have taken us into the graphical age of third person  life like games.  Somewhere along the way it has become easier to put  some kind of mobile device in a child's hands to keep them "occupied" rather than to take the time to interact.  It is sad to see so many traditions die, and families grow further and further apart in disconnect, yet wonder why they don't have great relationships when they are older!

Quarantined from this ugly virus, no school, bare bones workers, and the list goes on....so how do you handle it? It blessed my heart so much to see Katie post these pictures of the grands....nothing but pure family connection, outdoor fun, bike riding, dog chasing, marshmallow roasting, laughing good times going on in this yard and not one mobile device detected! Love it so much, way to go you guys....way to teach those grandbabies what simple quality connection looks like!   There will be time for video games....but in this moment, they chose to take a walk, roast some dogs and marshmallows and just enjoy life together......well done. :)

Tragedy becomes great Love...

I feel like my first post on this page should be dedicated to my  best friend in Heaven, My Moose Melissa Fleming.  I was pretty lost when  my Moose moved back to her hometown in libby, Montana 1500 miles away from me, but I knew when she drove across that state line, the mountains would draw her back in! Little did we know that her journey back home to be with  Eldon (her daddy) would then precede her own 4 year battle with Cancer.

My best friend and confidant, she is the toughest "Biotch" I know.(pardon my language, but whatcha' see is whatcha' get lol) She will knock this stupid cancer out of the park, I thought and prayed.  Over the years she would keep most of the details to herself to protect the ones she loved from too much worry....Grrrr I would scold her often for keeping the details from me, but it was just who she was...hold in the hardest stuff and put on the best face she could to be strong for everyone else.  In her weakest hour she was always the strongest one in the room, just like my sister Tina Hardin!!!

I knew there was nothing that could keep me from being by her side in her last days, a pull like no other overtook my whole body and in a short few days everything was arranged and I came to her. How could any of us know the events of the next few days, and truly what God and Melissa had planned to shake up this household!  Caring for her in her last days  was never a chore, there was no place I would have ever wanted to be than making her as comfortable as possible.

My time here after her death  became a tour of my sisters life as Mark began to take me to her favorite places, like a little journey through her life here. It was the most amazing experience, I could feel her, I could smell her, I could hear her goofy laugh and her voice calling me "Sas!" I could see the expression she must have had on her face when she would pull off to gaze at her favorite waterfalls, scenic spots. I began to take pics of my favorite spots, which of course  later by no surprise found out we would share the same favorite spots as well, duh! we are sisters lol

Somewhere along the way this man Mark Olsen, whom I had never met became visible to me in a way I had never experienced. The day he told me "I am in Love with you" was the best day of my  life! a Supercharge of emotion rushes through your body when Love hits you in this way-like a fairy-tale right? It's true, it happens! It happened to us!

I would joke and say "Whoa, I have been hit my a Mark-Truck" lol true though, this hit us both out of nowhere, and in an instant we knew that we would hold on tight to each other for the rest of our lives! I love doing life with this man, and I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life pouring my heart into this great love that my sister and God gave us!

Moose, Oh! My Moose....I love you to the moon and back.....love the thought of you dancing with the angels and both"our Daddy's"!!! Smooches and hugs

What happened next????  Settle down now......more to come! :)
